Review week 42; goals, blog and GTD

On Sundays I’m looking back on the past week. How did I perform towards my goals? How did my blog do? And how am I keeping up with my GTD system?

Blog performance
I haven’t published a lot last week, partly due to lack of inspiration and partly due to lack of time. I’ve been working on other goals and catching up on sleep. The lack of articles shows in the subscriber numbers. They tend to drop a little when no new posts are published.

Visitors went up nonetheless and there are also some new incoming links at Technorati. The Technorati Authority number well get more interesting from now on, since they only take the last 6 months into account. And since my blog is a little over 6 months now, I might ‘lose’ the early incoming links. So the number may drop when there are not more new ones incoming than old ones dropping.

Progress towards goals
Big step this week! I started running! Last weekend the yearly marathon was in town, and I plan to run half the marathon next year at this event. So there’s a year left to get to that point, and on Monday I started my first run. Only 20 minutes of which I actually run 10 (in two parts even), but it’s a start. The second run was already better, with 25 minutes in total, of which I run 15 non-stop. My stamina is definitely not up to par!

Material State
1. Garden redone by 12-2007 No progress this week.
2. 2nd floor redone by 12-2007 Some preparation, not much progress.
3. €500 passive income by 03-2008 No real progress this week.
Active State
4. NLP Practitioner certification by 12-2007 Reviewed the material once. Need to get all my notes in one place.
5. 2500 subscribers by 12-2007 A little further away from the goal. A small drop instead of further increases.
6. Given first training as trainer by 03-2008 No progress this week.
Social State
7. Rising early ACCOMPLISHED
8. Contact friends and family 4 days a week 4 times this week.
Emotional State
9. Review mission and goals weekly Although I skipped my morning routine today, I’m keeping it up.
10. Quarterly retreat Starts January 2008
Physical State
11. Workout 5 days a week Twice this week (running only, see next goal)
12. Run half a marathon in 10-2008 Twice this week! Training that is, not marathons.

Getting Things Done - weekly review
I’m diving deeper into the PDA with ListPro setup. I’ve been mailing with gtdfrk again, and got some nice tips. No real progress to report yet, but that will probably come this week.
