Review week 46; goals, blog and GTD

On Sundays I’m looking back on the past week. How did I perform towards my goals? How did my blog do? And how am I keeping up with my GTD system?

Blog performance
This week was the first week with the new design. It’s doing great and I still love the new look. I received quite some reactions from readers, telling me that the new look was an improvement. Thanks!

I published more articles this week, and I’m back in the writing mood again. I have a couple of articles lined up already. The NLP presuppositions will be finished this week, with two more to come. I have a big list with ideas I’m eager to write about, so there’s more to come the next couple of weeks.

The stats are up on all fronts, more subscribers, more visitors (using Google analytics as a source now, no longer Feedburner) and a slight improvement of my Technorati Rank. Really encouraging!

Statistics week 46
Average RSS subscribers: 441 +14
Average daily visitors: 136 +37
Technorati Authority: 214 +2

Progress towards goals
This week was a NLP week. I worked a lot on my Practitioners training, with three days of training and two days of preparation. Mid December is the testing, so if all goes well (and it will) I’ll be certified by then. There’s not a lot of progress on the other goals though.

Material State
1. Garden redone by 12-2007 No progress.
2. 2nd floor redone by 12-2007 No progress.
3. €500 passive income by 03-2008 Added options to the blog with the redesign, but income is declining…
Active State
4. NLP Practitioner certification by 12-2007 A lot of progress! I have to study the next couple of weeks, but I really feel I’m integrating a lot of the concepts. The techniques are becoming ready knowledge too, so this is going very well.
5. 2500 subscribers by 12-2007 A rise in subscriber numbers, but nothing spectacular. This goal needs serious attention!
6. Given first training as trainer by 03-2008 No progress.
Social State
7. Rising early ACCOMPLISHED (and still going pretty strong)
8. Contact friends and family 4 days a week Nope.
Emotional State
9. Review mission and goals weekly ACCOMPLISHED after so many weeks of reviews, this goal is accomplished.
10. Quarterly retreat Starts January 2008
This goal needs rephrasing, it’s an activity instead of a goal and there is no end date.
Physical State
11. Workout 5 days a week Once this week. I suck at this goal.
12. Run half a marathon in 10-2008 No progress.

Getting Things Done - weekly review
I started using SOTI controller to really work with my PDA. I totally love it! I need to put in more work to get things up and running, but so far PDA + ListPro + SOTI look like a killer combination for a GTD system.
