On Sundays I’m looking back on the past week. How did I perform towards my goals? How did my blog do? And how am I keeping up with my productivity habits?
I’m starting the weekly review cycle again. Kind of missed it actually.
Blog performance
This week I was back at blogging again and back at getting in contact with my blogging friends through mail and twitter. Twitter is a lot of fun, and a great way to get to know people. If you’re on twitter you can follow me, and I’ll follow you back so we can have a chat.
Anyway, the stats for the past week (weekly changes will be updated starting next week again):
| Statistics week 13-2008 | ||
|---|---|---|
| Average RSS subscribers: | 894 | - |
| Average daily visitors: | 236 | - |
| Technorati Authority: | 173 | - |
At a first glance both subscribers and visitors stayed on more or less the same level. Technorati authority is dropping fast, that’s probably due to the fading effect of Priscilla Palmer’s personal development bloggers meme half a year ago. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.
Progress towards goals
I’ve been working a lot on the renovation project. Boy have I underestimated the work that needed to be done! I’m progressing steadily towards completion, but there is a lot of work that still needs to be done, so I’m estimating another two to three months of throughput time. I’ll be glad when that project is done, that’s for sure!
| Material State | ||
|---|---|---|
| 2nd floor renovated by 02-2007 | Overdue! Progress is steady, still two or three months of throughput time though. | |
| Active State | ||
| 2500 subscribers by 12-2007 | Overdue! 36% done. | |
| Social State | ||
| Be in contact with friends and family 4 days a week | ACCOMPLISHED | |
| Emotional State | ||
| No goal at this time | ||
| Physical State | ||
| Run half a marathon in 10-2008 | Once again, no real progress. Been working out a little, but nothing major. | |
Productivity Habits - weekly review
I’ve been planning my work on the renovation project and that’s working out allright. I’m discovering more and more that planning really is key to getting things done. Planning and evaluating your planning skills, by recording actuals. It’s only by recording actuals that you have the data to improve on your planning skills.
You can be an Original too!

What exactly is “Priscilla Palmer’s personal development bloggers meme” — a network like LifeRemix?

@Andre: not a network like LifeRemix. Priscilla started with a small list of personal development bloggers, but it grew viral and spread over a lot of blogs. It seems like her site is down now, but you can find more about the meme in this article.
